Charles G. Fertitta Jr. is an executive managing director at HM Science, a specialized division of Hughes Marino, a global corporate real estate advisory firm that specializes in representing tenants and buyers. As the founding leader of the firm’s Houston office, Charles represents his clients with primary focus in tenant advisory and corporate services encompassing leasing, sales and structured finance.

With over three decades of experience in the commercial real estate industry, Charles provides client-focused advisory, driving value and results for an array of companies in the delivery of transaction services, both locally in Houston as well as more broadly around the world. His areas of expertise include tenant and buyer representation, transaction strategy, financial structuring, portfolio solutions, complex headquarters transactions, growth strategy, sale leaseback and build-to-suit transactions. Charles has extensive knowledge of the local, regional, national and global markets, the economic drivers supporting them, and the challenges faced by tenants and other types of users of real estate. His ability to stay in front of fluctuating cycles is unsurpassed, making him an invaluable asset to his clients and the Hughes Marino team.

Charles has conducted thousands of real estate transactions for clients of all sizes and industries within Houston and around the world, including oil and gas, clean-tech, high-tech, nanotech, life science and biotechnology, medical, manufacturing, semiconductor, professional services, financial services, logistics and more.

Charles has been awarded numerous accolades throughout his three-decade long career, most recently being recognized at the top of Houston Business Journal’s Heavy Hitters list, a Texas Top Producer, and consistently being top 1% of representatives globally in his previous role at Colliers.

Prior to joining Hughes Marino, Charles was vice chair and principal at Colliers in Houston for over 15 years. He began his commercial real estate career with Moody Rambin in Houston in the late 1990s, after graduating from University of Houston.
